Where: Brentwood Community Hall (basement) – 7082 Wallace Drive
Instructors: Darcie and Tatum
Duration: Twice weekly on Wednesday and Thursday evenings for 3 weeks (6 classes total) – 50 minutes per class.

Description

Give your puppy a SuperStart in life with this comprehensive class designed to cover the most important aspects of raising and training a well adjusted, sociable dog.

Class curriculum includes:

  • Socialization with a variety of people, puppies and unfamiliar objects
  • Introduction to Sit, Down, Come, Leave-it and more
  • Basic body handling to familiarize your puppy with having nail trims, being groomed and examined by the vet
  • Discussions on preventing and eliminating basic problem behaviours such as jumping up, nipping and barking

Requirements and Cancellations

  • Full payment required with class registration to confirm your spot. Payment is non-refundable.
  • Class fees, minus a $25 administrative fee, can be transferred to a future class or service provided at least 5 business days notice of withdrawal is given before the start date of the class.
  • All participating dogs must be friendly to dogs and people. If you aren’t sure if your dog is suitable for the class, please contact us right away and we’d be happy to discuss if the class is appropriate for them. If after starting class we find that your dog is struggling with reactivity or aggression issues in the class, we may need to pull your dog and switch you to one-on-one training. In this case, a partial credit may be offered depending on circumstances. No refunds will be issued.
  • All participating dogs must have proof of their vaccines or a titre test.
  • Dogs in heat cannot participate in classes. If your dog is due to come into heat during a scheduled class, we recommend you wait until the next available dates to register. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes due to a heat.
